Impound of Polish Arabians

LFHR is participating in the large rescue effort to care for the impound of Polish Arabians in Queen Anne's County. Currently there are 6 of these horses in our care.

We are not in possession of their registration papers and are currently working on assigning them barn names. We hope to receive the papers if given custody, although the yearlings's registrations are likely incomplete.

The horses in our care are not in dangerous conditions like some of the others. Their fecal samples came back showing high positive for parasites.

The young horses are completely unhandled and are currently undergoing training so we can handle them. The ones with halters on were haltered when vaccinating and pulling coggins. They are by no means halter-broke. At this point, removing halters would probably prove close to as dangerous and difficult as putting them on. They are all breakaway halters for safety.

These horses are NOT available for adoption at this time and are currently in the custody of Queen Anne's County.

We are aware that this situation has caused a lot of negativity and confusion. We assure you that the care of the horses at LFHR is our top priority regardless of the outcome.
